- Head of Amazon Devices, Panay Panos, Charled Alexa+ Hardware with Bloomberg
- Panos caused a new hardware in its categories of entry, nucleus and signature
- It is likely that we will see new speakers and smart screens, but also new types of devices, including wearables such as smart glasses and ‘doll worn outdates’
Since October 2023, we have seen the arrival of Panay Panay outside the changes within the Amazon – Think Echo, Fire TV, Kindle and Alexa group in the wider purchasing giant. However, more recently, we saw Panos and his team at Amazon to present a new Alexa, Alexa+, which revitalizes the classic assistant with a ton of AI.
In a new interview with Mark Gurman by Bloomberg, Panay makes fun of the next part of the evolution and wants “perfection in each product we send.”
He mocked that he plans to re -enter the hardware in the alignment for more affordable devices, of middle range and premium, called ‘input, nucleus or signature’.
Better yet, Panos says that the battery life will be longer for laptops, that the speakers will sound better, perhaps even establishing a higher standard than the first -generation echo study with a chillido, and, potentially, taking a page of their time as a surface leader, promises “the best available security”.
It is said that the first devices with Alexa+ that Panos has played, beyond the Kindles and even the Echo Show 15 or 21, will arrive in autumn, think in August to October 2025.
In fact, Panos is establishing a high level for future smart speakers and smart screens, as well as its alignment of TV Fire bars and televisions, HD Fire tablets and several other devices. We already saw that the next generation of Kindle debuted in the last quarter of 2024, and in this wide interview, Panay declared: “There will be no corner cut. It will not matter if we try it before. It won’t matter what you thought it used to be. “
This could lead to a more clear approach to the entire Amazon device equipment, which is still starting in the client and working back, but also taking out future devices with more Polish. It could also be a type of device that Amazon has tried. However, this does not mean that Amazon is bringing the phone with short -term fire: Panos made it clear that he has no plans to do so, although he is not completely out of the table.
Most likely, it can mean reinvestment in home robots, such as the ring chamber always at home, a flying safety drone, and Amazon Astro. The latter is still a product only for the first day of invitation, but Panos summarized a large part of the vision how to give people a better reason or one to use Alexa.
In Astro and Robots as a whole, Panos said: “If a robot is part of that, I will make sure we have a great robot.” He also hinted that the glasses of augmented reality and the new devices used could be part of a future alignment. This could mean future versions of the Eco frames could present cameras, as well as Ray-Ban Meta, but also be more devices with access to Alexa+. Panos confirmed that hardware updates are reaching the current wearables of Amazon, Eco frames and echo shoots.
It also makes more sense why Alexa+ had to be presented first. It will be the central characteristic of these future devices, essentially to serve as the new platform on which they can luck can excel. I still bet that Amazon wants a screen in everyone’s house.
Like Panos’s strategy in Microsoft for Surface, the next Amazon devices will probably have maximum attention to detail and not only offer speeds for rapid, but also to provide some kind of genuine functionality and help for those who are using it.
Panos declared: “We are imagining what is the following for a client when it comes to AI devices and we have some incredibles.” It is doubling in the Amazon devices line, and I am anxious to see if Amazon will flood the market with new devices in autumn such as its previous events or if it will be a more temperate approach. At least, I expect some new echo speakers in the input, nucleus and signature alignment.
