NFL news: Brandon Graham de Eagles withdraws after 15 seasons


The two -time Super Bowl champion, Brandon Graham, announced his NFL withdrawal at a press conference on Tuesday.

Graham, 36, spent his entire 15 -year career with the Philadelphia Eagles after being recruited in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft out of Michigan.

“First, I just want to thank everyone, they know that I gave everything I had, and I do not regret. That is something that I tell young people: they don’t regret,” said an emotional Graham.

“First, I just want to say that 15 years ago I entered this city when I was young with dreams, great dreams. A little nervousness and a lot of fire in my heart. I had no idea that this trip would bring.

“Today while I feel here, I just want to thank God, because I know he was the main reason.”

No one has played more games in the history of Eagles than Graham (206), and is third in the list of captures of all the franchise with 76.5 captures.

“Without a doubt, Brandon Graham is the incarnation of everything you would desire in an eagle in Philadelphia. He is a special player and a special person. It is appropriate that he has played in more games than anyone in the history of our franchise,” said the president and CEO of Eagles, Jeffrey Lurie.
