There are no Quetta trains since the kidnapping of Bolan

Ten days have passed since the terrorists kidnapped a train bound for Peshawar in the Bolan District of Baluchistan. However, Pakistan Railways (PR) have not yet received authorization to resume trains operations in the restless province, leading to a daily loss of more than RS2.4 million.

A separatist organization prohibited on March 11 kidnapped Jafar Express with more than 400 passengers on board. The security forces then launched an operation killing all the terrorists and rescuing all the passengers, except for the 21 people who had been killed by the terrorists during the kidnapping.

According to the sources, the RP expects an authorization from the security and intelligence agencies and is not reserving seats, which causes a daily loss of RS2.4 million.

Meanwhile, the RP on Thursday announced its plan to execute five additional trains to facilitate passengers who wish to celebrate the Eidul Fitr with their families.

The first Eid special train will start from Karachi to Lahore on March 26. The second train will run from Quetta to Peshawar on March 26.

The third train will leave Lahore to Karachi on March 27. The fourth train will run from Karachi to Rawalpindi through Faisalabad and Sargodha on March 27.

The fifth Eid special train will travel from Karachi to Lahore through Faisalabad and Sheikhupura.
