Conor McGregor says he runs for president of Ireland after visiting Trump

Perhaps President Donald Trump motivated Conor McGregor to make a career change.

The UFC fighter wrote in a long Instagram publication on Thursday, which implies that he will apply for president of his country of origin in Ireland, days after visiting Trump in the White House.

McGregor said he opposes a bill on EU’s migration pact and urged people to vote for him.

“Ireland must completely implement the EU migration pact before June 12, 2026. Then, between now and June 12, 2026, several laws must be approved by both chambers of the oireachtas and then signed by the President … Who else will face the Government and will oppose this bill? … I will do it!” McGregor wrote in his publication.

“It is the people of the choice of Ireland! That is a true democracy! … This is the future of Ireland with me as president. All the citizens of Ireland have a voice and a choice in their future! God bless our people. Vote McGregor and listen to your voice!”

McGregor criticized the Irish government in the White House in an attempt to raise awareness about “the problems facing the people of Ireland.”

“Our government has long abandoned the voices of the people of Ireland, and it is time for the United States to take into account what is happening in Ireland. What is happening in Ireland is a parody. Our government is a zero -action government and zero responsibility government,” he said this week.

In September, he made fun of a possible presidential career in Ireland, calling himself the “only logical choice.”
