Although we are still in the era of iOS 18, we are already listening to some key rumors on iOS 19, the next great Apple iPhone software update.
From the speculation in the new features to the possibility of a massive design review, there is already a lot of buzzing about what Apple could contribute to its mobile operating system.
In addition, there could be great new intelligence characteristics of Apple along the way, with Siri specifically prepared for renewal.

iOS 19: Rumors of the release date
iOS 19 will probably be launched in September 2025, together with the expected iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Plus, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and possible iPhone 17 Air.
Although we have not yet heard any solid rumor on the exact launch dates, Apple normally launches main version updates of iOS along with the iPhone alignment of that year.
Similarly, we do not know with certainty when the iPhone 17 family will be launched, but Apple has stayed with September for many years, so it feels like a safe bet.
iOS 19: New rumored features
It is expected that iOS 19 will be launched with a series of new useful features, ranging from applications reviewed to a Siri with Intelligence of Apple, finally.
A new camera application
iOS 19 could bring with it a redesigned camera application, taking visitor design signs.
Previously we hear that this could be part of a wider UI redesign that would extend that inspiration of visos throughout the iOS, but at the time of writing this article we have only seen screenshots of the new camera application.
The redesigned application eliminates the disorder of the current interface, instead, using transparent icons and overlaps to escape the menus options.
Apple’s intelligence, meet Siri
Siri had to obtain an important update of Apple Intelligence at some point during the Life Cycle of iOS 18, but now it is rumored that Apple brings to users this update at the end of this year (as Dary Fireball reports)
For us, that suggests that Siri could have his expected review with iOS 19, either at launch or during a half -year update.
As we recently covered, Siri is very late in a decent update: he is currently struggling to answer even basic questions.
RCS encryption
Apple made waves at the end of last year by enabling RCS messaging in iOS, but users were left without access to one of the main benefits of RCS: end -to -end encryption.
The end -to -end encryption ensures the messages by enclosing them in a code that is only deciphering by the sender and the recipient, which effectively means that their message cannot be understood if it is intercepted.
We hope that a new RCS standard developed by the GSM Association and the partners, including Apple, will reach iOS 19, which finally gives Apple users the complete CPR capacities.
Airpods could obtain live translation
As Macrumors summarizes, a Bloomberg Mark Gurman report suggests that Airpods can obtain the ability to translate spoken language in real time thanks to a new Apple intelligence function in iOS 19.
Gurman is Apple’s main source of rumors and ideas, which gives this rumor an additional weight.
The way this supposedly works is to collect the speech with the Airpods microphones and transmitting the audio translated through the Airpods speakers. The AirPods user will have his speech collected and transmitted by his iPhone speaker, theoretically allowing the conversation.
There could also be assistant updates on the way to the translation capabilities of the iPhone.
iOS 19: Rumors of redesign
One of the greatest rumors of iOS 19 that we have seen so far refers to a design review for Apple’s user interface, which we have not seen in more than ten years.
The word of a redesign comes from Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, so although this remains an unofficial rumor, there is some weight behind him. Gurman has a great history, although he tends to overlook in the times he has been wrong.
It is rumored that iOS 19 brings the greatest redesign to the iPhone software experience since iOS 7 launched together with the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C.
This redesign can take signals from the Apple Vision Pro vision software, introducing more circular elements and using transparent overlaps.

iOS 19: Compatible rumored devices
The list of IOS 19 compatible devices will probably be similar to the list of iOS 18 compatible devices, although it will naturally expand to include the iPhone 17 family.
On the contrary, we can see the Apple Drop support for the oldest iPhones currently compatted: the iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR.
However, this loss of support for the oldest iPhones is not assured: the models mentioned above were eligible to update to iOS 18, despite being the oldest phones to run iOS 17.
In any case, it is a fairly safe bet that all iPhones thrown together with the iPhone 11 will admit iOS 19.
