Rupture The actor Dichen Lachman did not know what the creative team of the program had planned for one of the largest mysteries of season 2 for a long time.
Project Cold Harbor has dominated fans’ discussions since he was mentioned for the first time in Rupture Episode 1 of season 2. In fact, one of the largest enigmas of the Apple TV+ program has been speculated since the series returned in mid -January.
I have also spent innumerable hours with my own ideas about what project Cold Harbor was. I have discussed the Lumon experiment in numerous articles during the last nine weeks, starting with my piece of episode 1 theories of season 2 and recently in my recapitulation of episode 9 of season 2.
With the Rupture End of season 2, ironically titled ‘Cold Harbor’, making your expected debut, we finally know what it is. Complete spoilers continue immediately for season 2 episode 10So come back now if you haven’t seen it yet.
The test room known as Project Cold Harbor is an almost empty space with a lonely baby crib in its center.
That the crib will be recognizable instantly Rupture Diehards It is an exact replica of One Mark and Gemma, which we saw in the seventh episode focused on Gemma season.
So what are you doing here? Well, it is the final test that Gemma has to complete, one that will help Lumon determine if their compensation procedure can be used to create multiple innies’ within the same person. Gemma has been the trial subject for these experiments and, once completes this 25 and end, Lumon will have the necessary data to prove that you can cut someone on numerous occasions.
Lumon will no longer need Gemma’s services, so they plan to kill her once it is over. Everything that has to do, then, is, according to the instructions of the doctor Mauer, to disarm the cradle with the screwdriver he has given him.
Unfortunately for Lumon, Mark, Gemma’s husband, comes to his rescue and prevents him from completing the Cold Harbor project (N.B: Read my Rupture The end of season 2 explained the piece for more details about it).
However, that is more than enough to wander my part. When did Lachman learn more about Project Cold Harbor? Interestingly, like Gemma, the creator Dan Erickson, Ben Stiller, kept her in the dark for a long time and executive producer Ben Stiller.
“I didn’t read [the script for] Episode ten until we were almost filming him, “Lachman told me before the last episode of Apple TV original.” I did not discover it until a few weeks before [filming began]while he had had [the script for episode] Seven for quite some time. So, I had a lot of time to let Seven’s events sink.
“I got the script of Ten relatively before starting to film it, but I never immersed myself with Dan because they [Dan and Ben] I just told myself what I needed to know, “Lachman added.” I’m not sure why [Lumon] put it [Gemma] In that particular situation. Obviously, they are trying to see if compensation technology is maintained, but I’m not sure what Mauer tells him [in episode seven] That this will change the world. I suppose it is like a final drug test, which is that final step that [Lumon] I have to cross. “
That is not the only information that Erickson and Stiller have retained from Lachman. He also told me that he has no idea when filming will begin in season 3, nor has he seen any of the scripts of the next season in which Stiller says that Erickson and his fellow writers are currently working.
However, Lachman has some ideas about where he would like Gemma’s story in one of Apple TV+ ‘third season.
“It is interesting that she has so many different innĂas,” Lachman reflected. “I wonder how they are all and what that means for her in the real world. Mark has only [one innie in] Mark S. She has … I mean, I don’t know how many rooms are there. I stopped counting and concentrated on other things!
“But how many different compartments are in your brain?” Lachman added. “I wonder if they [the writers] I will explore that. But, you know, the possibilities with the program are endless. “
