President Asif Ali Zardari conferred the highest civil prizes of Pakistan to several distinguished citizens, including the late former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, in recognition of his excellence, contributions and notable achievements in several fields.

In a prestigious ceremony held in Aiwan-Sadr, President Asif Ali Zardari conferred the highest civil honors of Pakistan, the Nishan-E-Pakistan, to the late former prime minister and founder of the Popular Party (PPP), Sheheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. His daughter, Sanam Bhutto, received the prize in his name, marking a significant moment in the history of the country.

The ceremony, which was attended by notable figures such as the president of the Senate Yousuf Raza Gilani, the president of PPP, Bilawal Bhutto and the first lady ASEEFA Bhutto-Zardari, celebrated those who have made notable contributions in several fields.

Among the honoree was the Marshal of Air (Retro.) Raja Shahid Hamid, who posthumously received the Nishan-E-Imtiaz for his exemplary service. Sultan Ali Akbar Allana received the Nishan-E-Khidmat for his shocking work in the financial sector.

The Hilal-E-Imtiaz was awarded several people for their extraordinary contributions, including Javed Jabbar for Literature, Allah Rakhi Shaheed for his service to education and Dr. Syed Tauqeer Hussain Shah for his excellence in civil service.

Syed Ali Haider Gilani was recognized for his public service, and Hussain Dawood was honored for his philanthropic efforts. Sadia Rashid also received the Hilal-E-Imtiaz for her important work in the education sector.

More honors were granted to Khawaja Anwar Majeed for social work, and Professor Dr. Shehryar and Dr. Zaryab for their medicine achievements.

Amir Hafeez Ibrahim was awarded for his contributions to science and IT, while Jimmy Engineer was celebrated by his outstanding social services. Umar Farooq was also recognized for its continuous dedication to public service.
