The owners must stop using the machines immediately and request a refund
Thousands of expresso machines have been withdrawn after 18 people reported that a component was “expelled” during force “during use. Eight received burns or lacerations as a result.
The affected machines are no longer for sale, but several owners wrote reviews to warn potential customers about risks before voluntary retirement. Some even included photos of broken coffee growers in their kitchens.
