On Tuesday, a meeting held to discuss the legal framework of the Danish University concluded that it would be an autonomous institution, managed independently of the government, with an focus on research, development and applied sciences.
The meeting was convened in the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and was chaired by Azam Nazeer Tarar law. The president of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and other senior officials attended.
The discussions included the establishment of a endowment fund to provide quality education and internationally recognized talented students who face financial difficulties. Participants reaffirmed the emphasis of the university in research, development and applied sciences.
Tantar emphasized that the university would be an autonomous institution, managed independently of the government, and added that its legal structure would be developed in modern lines to align with the standards of the main universities of the world.
“Successful educational models are being reviewed around the world to shape the Danish University in a competitive institution worldwide. A comprehensive legal framework is being developed to create an ideal academic environment for future students,” said an official brochure.
According to the brochure, the Law Minister declared that all legal and administrative aspects would be considered carefully before finishing the frame as soon as possible, ensuring the rapid implementation of this initiative.
