The mother of the Chief of Staff of the Army (COAS), Syed also Munir, who died on Monday, was buried in the Army cemetery after funeral prayers were offered in the racing field in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
Public relations between services (ISPR) issued a statement on Tuesday, announcing the death of the mother of the general also “on Ramazan (March 24)”, and offering sentences for their highest ranges in heaven.
To the funeral sentences, held in the racing field in Rawalpindi, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, federal ministers, main ministers, civil and military officers, and others, and others attended.
The Army Chief personally directed the funeral prayers for his mother, and expressed his gratitude to all who attended. Safety arrangements were made on the occasion. Later, his mother was buried in the army cemetery.
President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deep sadness for the disappearance of the mother of the Army Chief. The president, in a statement, extended condolences and expressed solidarity with the afflicted family in this hour of pain.
“We share the pain of General Syed as well for the death of his mother. My most sincere condolences are with the disconsolate family during this difficult time,” said the president. He prayed to the almighty Allah for peace for the deceased soul and strength so that the afflicted family endured the loss.
The prime minister also expressed solidarity with the afflicted family in this time of pain, according to a press release from the prime minister’s office. He also prayed to the Almighty Allah for the eternal peace of the deceased soul.
