Jelly Roll is partly blamed by her mother’s daughter’s mental health struggles related to her mother.
The 40 -year -old singer felt sincere about the struggles that he and his family faced due to the addiction struggles of his baby Mom, with whom he welcomed his daughter Bailee Ann, in a new interview with The pivot podcast.
“My son’s mother has fought with drug addiction since my daughter was born more or less,” Jelly said in the podcast. “The addict is not the victim in that situation. The family is.”
The singer began to wonder how Bailee must have received the news of his mother’s arrest earlier this month in Tennessee for drug possession.
“It was a news article that his mother had returned to jail, he had been caught with, such as methamphetamine or something,” he said.
“I have seen the effect I have had. I have a 16 -year -old floor of 17 years and I have seen the effect it has had: it has really affected its life,” added Jelly, who said when he learned about the heart “broke” the heart of Bailee.
“This is a 16 -year -old girl who knows that her mother is a drug addict, but just as her mother’s photo has to do with only methamphetamine on her face,” he continued before stopping to notice that he was “getting excited” talking about the matter when he began to cry.
He Save me Singer continued on how he has been able to deal with the situation, noting that his daughter may not have it easily.
“I saw her go through everything again. I thought, ‘Ah, man’, I forgot ‘because I am 40 years old and I have done a lot of therapy and I have done a lot of work and I have a relationship with God that hurt me, but I only have to pray for that and move on,” Jelly said.
“But I was like, ‘ah, man, she is 16 years old, she doesn’t [sic] Have any of those tools. She is still winning those tools. This hurts. ‘
The two -year -old father admitted that he feels responsible for much of his daughter’s sufferings for family problems.
“I told my wife: ‘I invited the world to our living room, so we have to accept what comes with that,” he said, referring to wife Bunnie XO. “This is my fault more than anyone else’s.”
Jelly is also the father of son Noah Buddy of another relationship.
