The spokesman of the Foreign Ministry, Shafqat Ali Khan, has clarified that no visit to Israel was possible under the existing regulations using the Pakistan passport that was not valid for this purpose.

The spokesman, responding to media consultations, said the Pakistan government had noticed reports on Pakistani journalists traveling to Israel.

“In this sense, it is clarified that Pakistani passports explicitly indicate that” they are not valid to travel to Israel. “Therefore, such a visit is not possible under the existing regulations,” he explained.

Pakistan does not recognize Israel and firmly support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the borders prior to 1967, with al-Quds al-Sharif as its capital, he added.
