Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has imposed the prohibition of photography and videography not authorized during aircraft maintenance operations, citing security and confidentiality concerns.
In a statement issued, the airline said it had observed people who took photos and videos without approval during maintenance activities.
“This is a serious violation of confidentiality and raises significant security risks,” said PIA spokesman.
To maintain high levels of safety and privacy, the airline has instructed that only authorized personnel, such as aircraft engineers or members of the designated security equipment, can take visual records during these operations.
All other people, including land management agents (ghas) and airline operator staff, have strictly prohibited taking photographs or videos.
PIA warned that any violation of the directive would result in strict administrative and disciplinary action.
