The signed gardener of the Mets in New York, Juan Soto, with the biggest contract in the history of professional sport to reinforce his alignment in this low season, but the World Cup champion AJ Pierzynski is worried about his team of pitchers.
He said Soto would have an impact and express concerns about those on the mound.
“I think (Soto) will have a significant impact due to the bat that he brings and the spin shifts, the mentality he has. The only thing I question about the Mets, who is going to throw? Who will be his initial pitcher?” Pierzynski asked during a recent appearance in “Don’t @ me with dakich” by Outkick.

“(Sean) Manaea is already injured, Clay Holmes is his start of the opening day, can he launch the whole year? And then you care about health (Kodai) Senga that lost a lot of the year. They have already lost Frankie you mutter for a lot of time, who will be his initial pitching?
Manaea, who signed again with the team in a three -year contract, maintained a correct oblique tension and is expected to return at some point in April.
Move, an acquisition of a free agent, suffered a right right tension of high grade and was closed to launch for 6-8 weeks in mid-February.
Holmes has spent the last three seasons with the New York Yankees as a high leverage relief and closed games for them at points of their mandate. In the course of his seven -year career with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Yankees, Holmes has only started four games and now he will trust a key member of the initial rotation of the METS.
When he signed with the Mets in the free agency, Holmes returned to a starting pitcher, after he appeared in the pirate system as headline.
Senga would probably have been the head of the Opening Day on Holmes, but launched only a regular seasonal game last year due to an injury, and the Mets are being cautious with him entering the season. Last season, Senga took care of shoulder injuries, triceps and calf.

“At the end of the day, if you want to win in Major League Baseball, I don’t care that you can rake everything you want, but if you don’t have the launch to support it, you will not win in a long journey and more in the playoffs,” said Pierzynski.
With the lesions in Monta and Manaea, these are the five headlines that the Mets are being implemented for their first five games:
- Holmes
- Tylor Megill
- Canning Griffin
- David Peterson
- Senga
While she was worried about the pitchers team, Pierzynski praised the offensive of the Mets.
“I think their alignment will be incredible. They brought Pete (Alonso), whom I love, (Francisco) Lindor obviously, I think (Mark) winds will be a stallion for them in the daily alignment. We saw what I could do in the postseason,” said Pierzynski.
