The governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, expressed some hope on the day of the inauguration that it would be the year of the twins to recover the top of the mountain in the big baseball leagues.

The twins dropped three in a row against the Cardinals of St. Louis and then fell 9-0 against the white socks of Chicago on Monday after the central team of the American League put the worst record in the history of baseball last season.

Walz has been the governor of Minnesota since 2019. He was one of those who congratulated Joe Mauer last year after the great MLB was chosen in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The twins still have a lot of time to change the season. Fans graphics project the twins to win at least 80 games this season.
Minnesota was expelled from the playoffs in 2023, losing to Houston’s stars in the American League division series into four games. The twins won the division that season.

The twins have not been in the World Series since 1991. In that year, Jack Morris and Kirby Puckett joined to stun the Braves of Atlanta. It was the title of the third world series in the history of the franchise.
