- Techradar Gaming asked Nintendo if the Joy-Con 2 controllers have seen any improvement to avoid sticck drift
- General Manager Tetsuya Sasaki says that switch 2 joy-with controllers have been “designed from scratch”
- The new joy-with will offer a “softer movement”
Nintendo has confirmed that Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 controllers have been redesigned, hopefully, to avoid the drifting of potential stick.
During an exclusive practical view of Nintendo Switch 2, Techradar Gaming asked the Technology Development Division of the General Tetsuya Sasaki division if improvements have been made to avoid the drift of Joy-Con Stick.
Sasaki replied, confirming that the new Joy-Con 2 magnetic controllers have been completely redesigned for a softer game.
“The new Joy-Con 2 controllers have been designed from scratch. They have been designed to have a larger and soft movement,” said Sasaki.
The Nintendo team did not offer any details, but according to our Rhys Wood hardware editor, there is a remarkable improvement in the palgar joy-with thumbs, and “they feel much softer and less granulated than the previous model.”
If you have a Nintendo Switch, you can be familiar with the dreaded drift that can occur after using the console for a long time. Listening that Joy-Con 2 controllers have improved me hope that I do not have to invest in another pair after only a couple of years of use.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct was broadcast yesterday, confirming that the console will be launched on June 5, 2025, it will cost $ 449.99 / £ 395.99, with scheduled advance orders to open on April 8.
The showcase also offered a deep immersion in the specifications of the Switch 2, revealing that the console will offer functionality of the Joy-Con 2, 4K resolution while it is docked, a larger screen to 7.9 inches, 256 GB of internal storage and more.
