UNITED NATIONS:
The new permanent representative of Pakistan before the United Nations, the ambassador to Iftikhar Ahmad, presented his credentials to the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the ambassador also reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment to multilateralism and the principles of the UN Charter. The UN chief congratulated him for his new role and extended his best wishes for successful possession.
The ambassador also replaced Ambassador Munir Akram, who left his position as a permanent representative of Pakistan before the UN after completing his mandate on March 31, 2025.
