Justin Baldoni has submitted a response to Blake Lively’s request to dismiss his demand for defamation.

Baldoni filed the demand in January after Livere accused him of sexual harassment and orchestra a smear campaign during the filming of It ends with us.

Lively’s lawyers submitted the request to dismiss the lawsuit in March, claiming that Baldoni’s accusations were “vindictive” and an abuse of the legal system. They also pointed out a California law that protects people from reprisal demands related to sexual harassment claims.

Now, in response to Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, argued that the demand provides detailed claims of “the calculated efforts of Lively first to extort and manipulate” as reported by People magazine.

Revealing that “they will continue to fight,” Freedman also declared that even if demand is dismissed, life should not be entitled to fees or legal damages.

He said: “What Mrs. Lively tries to do is establish a dangerous precedent except for the doors of the court to my clients and punish them for having their day in court, a right protected by the first amendment.”

“This right protects not only Mr. Baldoni and Wayfarer’s parties in this particular case, but all Americans in the future who have false accusations that were collected and seek relief from our justice system.”

“This must stop here, and we will continue to fight against this shameless attempt to block access to the judicial system and weaken the constitution of our nation to serve those who are in a position of power,” added Justin Baldoni’s lawyer.
