President of SCBA, CJ discuss Baluchistan

Islamabad:

By qualifying compliance with fundamental rights, a cornerstone of any democratic society, the president of the Court Justice of Pakistan has emphasized that fundamental rights must be maintained in all areas.

The CJP expressed these points of view during a meeting with the president of the Bar Association of the Supreme Court Mian Muhammad Rauf ATA.

According to a press release from SCBA, the law chief informed the CJP of the current situation in Baluchistan, where the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution have ceased to exist effectively. This state of affairs has further deteriorated the situation of law and order in the province, which leads to generalized disturbances, an increase in insurgent activities and road closures that have directly impacted the daily life of common citizens.

The president of SCBA also shared with CJP the details of the advisory meetings aimed at building a broad -based national consensus on Baluchistan issues. He pointed out that, in general, the majority of the political elite agrees that the resolution of these problems lies in a democratic approach.
