A bogie of the Allama Iqbal Express derailed near the Kotri train station on Saturday, temporarily interrupting the railway services between Hyderabad and Karachi, authorities said.
The incident occurred when the train, on Lahore route to Karachi, experienced a technical failure near Kotri, which caused his last car to separate and leave the track, said Express News.
No victims were reported.
The affected bogie also separated from the rest of the train.
The railway authorities launched immediate restoration efforts, beginning to work to replace the Bogie and repair the coupling mechanism.
“The low track has been affected by the incident,” said a railroad spokesman.
“The trains that travel from Hyderabad to Kotri have stopped in Hyderabad as a precautionary measure.”
Repair work is expected to take two to three hours. Train services on the route will resume once security inspections are completed.
Yetserday, Pakistan Railways announced trains of multiple units of multiple high -speed and high speed diesel.
In an informative session for the Federal Minister of Railways Hanif Abbasi, the Ferrocarrile officials said the trains were designed to function with a speed of 160 kilometers per hour.
The trains will apply between Lahore, Lala Musa and Rawalpindi.
Up to 380 passengers can travel at the same time in more multiple trains. The project is based on a public-private association. Railways will guarantee effective operation and surveillance.
