- An UI 8 (based on Android 16) could be launched early
- You can debut in the next Samsung folds
- A UI 7 is being implemented more widely this week
The ONE UI 7 update (Android 15) made its adequate debut on Samsung Galaxy S25 phones in January, and is ready to implement other devices from next week, but it seems that an UI 8 (Android 16) will soon be ready to work, since it is leaning to appear in the galaxy z fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
These two folding are expected to arrive around July, and the sources that talk to Sammobile say that they will come with an UI 8 on board instead of an UI 7. It is a surprisingly fast change for the next Samsung software update.
However, it fits with the Android 16 expected launch calendar: we know that Google is anxious to obtain the great software update of this year that is presented to the phones at some time in June, and we have already had several months of beta tests for the next version of the mobile operating system.
As a comparison, Android 15 began to appear on Pixel phones in October 2024, but now that Google has changed to launch its flagship phones in August, more recently the Pixel 9 series, you need to prepare Android before, ideally, ideally.
What we have heard so far
We have not heard much about an UI 8 to date, but presumably Samsung will follow the main one established by Android 16. It is said that the next great update for the Google mobile operating system is improving the support for desktop mode and updating the health functions available on your phone, as well as adding functions to postpone the thieves of the phones.
We have also heard a lot about Samsung’s next folds. The galaxy z fold 7, for example, will apparently be thin than its predecessor, and should obtain the usual improvements under the speed of the hood, and perhaps even better cameras.
As for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the rumors suggest that it will come with a full size coverage screen for the first time, although otherwise the design can remain the same (as well as the RAM options and storage). Both the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 are apparently obtaining a better battery life, due to the most efficient screens.
There has also been talk of a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and perhaps a plaid Samsung tri fold, which could be launched at the same time as the other phones, and at the same time as the UI 8 update.
