- Microsoft admitted having published the incorrect increases of the price on April 1
- They were rectified on April 4 and the documentation is now updated.
- 5% price increase only affects monthly subscriptions
Microsoft has recognized and apologized after publishing incorrect prices for several of its most popular software products.
When taking an online support page, the correction of the previous prices published on April 1 was held on April 4, when Microsoft admitted: “All partners of cloud solutions suppliers (CSP)” had been deceived.
Microsoft’s error affected the annual commitment of monthly billing plans for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales and Copilot of Microsoft 3465 for service, and did not correctly reflect the changes announced in November 2024.
Microsoft software price errors
“The pricing lists based on the April license that were published on April 1, 2025 included incorrect prices for the annual commitment of monthly billing plans for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales and Copilot de Microsoft 365 for service,” says the note.
“According to the announcement in December 2024 with respect to flexible billing for Microsoft 365 Copilot, prices should have been 5% higher for monthly billing,” continues the correction.
In November 2024, Microsoft announced that it would raise the prices of these three co -pilot variants in around 5%, with some small fluctuations depending on local currencies.
Microsoft 365, Office 365, Enterprise Mobility + Security, Windows 365, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Services, Microsoft Power Platform and other online services also obtained the same 5%treatment, while the telephone equipment obtained an increase in prices of $ 10/month This month.
We noticed at the time any client who wants to avoid price increases could pay annually, because 5% increases were only affecting monthly subscriptions. The convenience of the most flexible prices, then, has a cost.
The support page confirms that price errors have now been corrected in the Catalog of the Association Center, and reviewed price lists are also available to download.
