More than 4,000 Punjab deportees

At least 4,111 individuals have been deported from Punjab, including Lahore, as part of a coordinated effort of local authorities to address illegal immigration.

A Punjab police spokesman reported that more than 5,950 illegal immigrants have been transferred to tenure centers, while 1,839 remain in these facilities. Currently, there are 4 tenure centers established throughout the province, including five located in Lahore.

The Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Police Inspector emphasized that all illegal immigrants will be sent back without exception.

He affirmed that security measures increase during the evacuation process and that human rights are strictly observed throughout the operation.

Dr. Usman Anwar addressed the City Police Director (CCPO) of Lahore, Regional Police officers (RPO) and District Police officers (DPO) to accelerate the process of evacuating illegal immigrants.

He also highlighted the importance of mapping, scanning and detection of these people according to the established procedures to guarantee a systematic approach to the operation.

This repression of illegal immigration reflects the provincial government’s commitment to maintain the law and order, while guaranteeing the protection of human rights during the application of these measures.
