Justice reforms need property of interested parties: CJP


Islamabad:

The president of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (CJP) Yahya Afridi held an advisory session in the Supreme Court to involve interested parties and improve the provision of justice services.

The session was intended to seek the opinions of the participants about the reforms specifically and economic justice, the facilitation of litigants and an integrated political approach to realine the country’s justice system.

Emphasizing the role of bar in the administration of justice, the CJP/ President of the National Judicial Committee (policy formulation) (NJPMC) said that only these reforms produce results that have the property of the interested parties.

In addition, he declared that this session was one of the series of meetings that were held with the interested parties to receive comments on the agenda of the next NJPMC meeting.

The participants were informed about the NJPMC proposed agenda that included the institutional response in cases of forced disappearances.
