American delegation thanks Pakistan for cooperation in terrorism

Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Eric Mayer, a senior official of the United States Department of State, who currently leads an American delegation in a visit to Pakistan.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed a variety of issues, including the strengthening of relations between the United States and Pakistan, anti -terrorist efforts and areas of mutual interest, said Express News.

Mayer expressed his gratitude to Pakistan for his cooperation in the recent arrest of the searched terrorist, Sharif Allah.

He praised the efforts made by the Pakistani authorities to address terrorism and guarantee the security of both nations.

Mayer also condemned the terrorist attack against the Express Jaffer, expressing sadness for the loss of lives and extending condolences to affected families.

The meeting also covered other critical areas of cooperation, including narcotics efforts, terrorism prevention and smuggling.

Naqvi stressed that the next joint dialogue against terrorism scheduled for June in Islamabad would provide a platform to further strengthen collaboration between the two nations to combat terrorism.

Naqvi pointed out that the fight against terrorism was not only Pakistan’s struggle but also global. He emphasized the importance of continuous international support for Pakistan to address this issue.

In addition, the Interior Minister mentioned that American companies could greatly benefit from Pakistan investment opportunities, particularly through the Pakistan mineral investment forum.

Mayer also showed interest in these opportunities, underlining the potential for US companies to get more deeply involved in the growing Pakistan market.

The meeting also included the United States Ambassador (AD Interim) Natalie Baker, Minister of State of the Interior Talal Chaudhry and Interior Secretary Khurram Agha.

The US delegation arrived in Pakistan to participate in the Pakistan 2025 mineral investment forum.
