The Vancouver Canucks woke up late during their game against the Dallas stars on Wednesday night, and their opponent of the West Conference paid the price.
The stars had already secured a place in the playoffs and had the hope of catching Winnipeg’s jets for the first time in the central division. The Canucks, whose hopes of playoffs were already on the strings, reached an important obstacle with another defeat.

Vancouver continued 5-2 with a remaining minute in the third period. Somehow, their fortunes changed quite fast.
Aatu Race got a Past Casey Desth to be a two -goal game. Moments later, Pius Suter added more pressure on Dallas with his own objective. Suter continued with another score with seven remaining in the regulation.
Only then, the game was tied.
Vancouver’s impulse continued to build in the extra period of time, and almost four minutes in the extra framework, Kiefer Sherwood scored his goal 18 of the season to give the Canucks the victory. Sherwood took a Connor Garland pass from behind the network to offer the winning goal of the game.
The Canucks won 6-5.
“He says a lot about the group,” Sherwood said. “‘Gar’ has just made an absolute crazy play. She felt like a slow camera, raised her head and put her on my tape.”

Vancouver became the first NHL team to score three times in the last minute of regulation. Each score arrived without his goalkeeper on the ice.
“That has to be one up there,” said Vancouver coach Rick Tocchet. “I loved the fight, obviously, in the third period. Doing that is a victory of characters for many boys, for the team.
“My son sent me a text message: ‘You looked like last year’s team in the third.'”
The Canucks won the Pacific division last year, but they have almost been out of the containment of playoffs completely. The team has 36-29-13 with 85 points.
The stars are four points behind the Jets for first place in the central division.
The captain of the stars Jamie Benn described the loss as “unacceptable.”

“That game should have been involved,” said Benn. “We should have found a way to do it there.”
