The central gardener of the Miami Marlins, Derek Hill, presented his case for the capture of the year during Tuesday night against the New York Mets.
The Mets had the bases loaded at the bottom of the sixth entrance and already led 9-5 when Tyrone Taylor arrived a deep disc to the warning track in Citi Field. Hill tracked the ball to his right all the road.

Hill approached the warning track, jumped and extended completely to capture and steal the Mets to do more damage.
“That is one of the best catches you’ve ever seen,” said announcer Kyle Sielaff.
Hill’s capture even stunned Taylor.
“That was sick, Brother Unreal,” said the gardener of the Mets to MLB.com. “I didn’t know outside the bat, but after a couple of steps, I didn’t see anyone there. I thought, ‘Oh yes!’ Then he overcame that thing.

However, the damage attack of the Mets was already made. Miami entered the upper part of the sixth entrance in four races, but obtained three back. New York was able to push three more through the plate in the frame and finally won the 10-5 game.
Hill did his share on the plate. It was 1 by 4 with a two -run homer. He said that the wind was an important problem in the garden during the game, calling it an “interesting day.”
