Sony has announced the price of the United States for its new High-End Sony Bravia 8 II TV, but unlike the United Kingdom, where the price is highly competitive with LG G5, American prices of Sony are much higher than G5.
In fact, they are also much higher than the recently presented price of the Samsung S95F, which uses the same OLED QD panel.
When I spoke with Sony at the launch of the United Kingdom of the Bravia 8 II, they told me that the price of the new TV would be lower than that of Sony A95L, the company’s high -end OLED of the company. However, that seems to have been applied only to the United Kingdom, because Bravia 8 II has a price higher than the A95L in launch in the United States.

What we do not know is whether or not this price takes into account this price in the expected tariff costs, it may be that Sony has included them, and that LG and Samsung will soon have to increase prices.
However, Sony has a history of its television and audio products with a relatively high price for US customers, so these can be the prices originally planned, and they can upload more in the near future, although we still do not know what is the full effect of prices tariffs.
Sony has not announced a release date for television, although it is due to an early launch in the United Kingdom.
Sony also launched prices for its new Bravia 5 LED range, and its Bravia 2 II budget (yes, that is Bravia 2 Mark II, a horrible decision of names) TV.

Bravia 2 II is a LED TV directly directed and includes Sony’s X1 processor, which used to be on its flagship televisions, although without local attenuation of background light, it does not expect an incredible contrast.
Bravia 5 is a very interesting TV in its larger sizes, in particular. I have seen it in real life, although only briefly, and it is brilliant, and a mini -led mini -led backlight should guarantee a solid contrast. But in larger sizes, Sony’s excellent processing should help make sure not to see imperfections in the transmission or Video HD when watching on a rolled 4K screen.
Another uphill battle for Sony?
In the United Kingdom, the price of Bravia 8 II is really exciting: the 65 -inch Sony is a little less expensive than the LG G5, which could really shake our classifications of the best OLED televisions there, because it means that the choice is due to the image quality, and Sony is qualified In fact Highly there.
But in the US, if Bravia 8 II remains at $ 600- $ 1,000 more than LG and Samsung equivalents, it will have difficulty breaking. Yes, Sony is almost certain that it has a better built -in sound, but that will not matter if you can buy a large sound bar for less than the price difference between them.
And I said that Bravia 8 II seems to have one of the best image quality on the planet of my early demonstration, but will the difference be large enough to justify that type of price gap? I have trouble believing it, although we will try the LG G5, Samsung S95F and Sony Bravia 8 II next to the other when everyone will launch to decide which is the best television, so watch this space.
