Texas A&M chief coach Mike Elko expressed his disdain for a comment made by one of his players on Wednesday.
The defensive liner DJ Hicks was asked what the motto of the defensive line says.
Hicks said it was “CBO” and when asked what it represents “simple terms, ‘drowning the woman’. Let’s say so,” Hicks said, through the eagle.

“That mentality only means being aggressive. Every time we go out to the field, we are trying to put our hands on someone’s face. We do not want to be passive, never. Every time, we will affirm the domain when we go to the field.”
Hicks tried to clean the “B” of the motto, but was failed. Elko quickly addressed Hicks’s comments.
“It is transmitting something that should not be transmitted, so we will handle and address,” said Elko, through the Eagle on Wednesday. “That is absolutely ridiculous that was said.”

Last season he was Elko’s first as chief coach with the Aggies, and took the team to an 8-5 record.
While last season was the first as a chief coach with Texas A&M, Elko was previously the team’s defensive coordinator before leaving and took the work of a chief coach in Duke before the 2022-2023 season.

Elko returned to Texas A&M as a chief coach only two seasons after Duke went after the Aggies fired Jimbo Fisher.
Elko will rely on Hicks and the rest of his defensive line next season to step forward, since they will have larger papers with Nic Scourton, Shemar Stewart and Shemar Turner went to the NFL.
