A soccer player died after a collision with an opponent during a match this week.

Igraza Gonzales Altamirano, 21, died on Tuesday after suffering a head injury in a collision with a goalkeeper.

In the 71st minute of a match in Peru, Altamirano’s teammate started a ball from near the center of the countryside, and Altamirano persecuted it.

However, when the opposite goalkeeper went to catch him, he crashed with Altamirano, hurting Altamirano’s head in a terrifying accident.

Altamirano then landed hard and lay motionless.

He was quickly taken from the field on a stretcher, and then died of his wounds.

Altamirano’s brother told local media in Peru, a broken artery in his brain led to Altamirano’s death.
