NCAA Transfer Portal: Houston Basketball will lose another key taxpayer

Terrance Arceneaux was a key taxpayer from the bank for the Houston Cours in the last three seasons.

On Thursday, the second year guard revealed its intention to enter the transfer portal.

During the announcement, Arceneaux said the decision focused on his hope of “starting a new chapter on my university basketball trip.”

Arceneaux said on an Instagram post that competes in Houston “has been part of my story that I will always take with me.”

“I am moving away without bitterness, only growth, gratitude and a clear vision of where I address below,” he added. “Sometimes, the way to the purpose requires a pivot, and I am trusting the process.”

He averaged 6.5 points and 2.7 rebounds in his 40 more recent games when Houston made a race towards the national championship game. He did not score a point during his eight minutes on the floor during the game of the national title against the Florida Gators.

Until now, Arceneaux is the lonely Cougars player to enter the transfer portal from the championship.

Arceneaux appeared in just 11 games during the 2023-24 season due to an Achilles tendon injury.

In addition to Arceneaux’s departure, Houston is struggling with the loss of LJ Cryer, J’wan Roberts, Ja’vier Francis and Mylik Wilson, who have exhausted their university eligibility.

Florida 65-63’s victory over Houston on Monday gave the Gators its third Male Basketball Championship of the NCAA.
