- Nintendo has now clarified that Switch 2 Edition cartridges will have the complete game and updates
- There is still some uncertainty regarding DLC
- My customer service representatives of my Nintendo store have said Breath of the Wild Switch 2 Edition “will not include the DLC paid”
Nintendo has confirmed that Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will contain the complete game and updates in the cartridge, but there is still uncertainty about downloadable content (DLC).
Last week, a Nintendo customer service representative caused some confusion among fans after Nintendo Switch 2 directly by informing a player that Switch 2 Edition Games will be original switches cartridges with an attached discharge code.
Nintendo has now clarified that this is not the case and that the games improved, such as The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Zelda’s legend: Breath of the Wild, You will present the full game and updates on the Switch 2 Edition cartridge.
In a voks statement, a Nintendo spokesman said: “The physical versions of Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games will include the original Nintendo Switch game and its update pack As discharge codes in the physical package, with game cards, without games of games, without game cards).
Although we have confirmation in this aspect, there is still uncertainty about DLC, specifically when it comes to Breath of the Wild and your expansion pass.
As reported by Gonintendo, a customer service representative of My Nintendo Store declared that the Breath of the Wild‘S Switch 2 Edition “will not include the content of expansion Pass”, which includes The master tests and The champion’s ballad.
Another user in Reddit also shared a message from a different representative from my Nintendo store, who claimed something similar.
“This game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – My Nintendo store will not include the DLC paid. If you buy the Switch 2 version in Physics, you will arrive at the corresponding game box, “said the message.
We still have no official confirmation of Nintendo, but it seems that, as with the switch version, players must buy the DLC packages again to play them in Switch 2.
Nor is it clear if this applies to all Switch 2 Edition games with DLC.
The Nintendo Switch 2 officially launches on June 5, 2025 and will cost $ 449.99 / £ 395.99 or $ 499.99 / £ 429.99 for a Mario de Mario Kart bunch.
