Do you remember when cryptopunks were the best flexible?
The 10,000 avatars issued by Larva Labs in 2017 were among the jewels of the non -fungible token fashion crown (NFT) in 2021. Some NFT of that collection obtained a value of ether of $ 56 million in the open market in 2024.
The five most expensive NFT belong to the Cryptopunk collection, as shown by the NFT Cryptoslam analysis service data. But the headlines seem to be moving their money.
The wallet behind Cryptopunks #3100, the third highest NFT sale in history, sold its collectible on early Friday for 4,000 ETH, a 500 ETH hair cut worth more than $ 10 million in terms of dollars, since ETH has built almost 60% in the last year.
That remains a relatively high price for Cryptopunk compared to the floor price of the collection, or the minimal application rate, 42 ETH, or around $ 65,000, per Coingecko. The value of #3100 was driven by its rarity of being an “alien” (9 of 9985 punk) and using a hair band (406 of 9742 punk).
NFT trade volumes have been in general decline since 2021, bar some peaks amid frantic periods. General sales fell to just over $ 58 million to April 7, reaching previously observed levels at the beginning of 2021.
