Making the masters is already a big problem.
But for Max Homa it was an even greater problem when he arrived at the weekend after a sandy second round presentation on Friday.
For Homa, it was the first time he made the cut in a tournament since July 19, 2024, when he reached the weekend in the open championship.
“Difficult times do not last, hard people do it,” Homa said through PGA Tour after his round.

“You are always trying to learn and evolve. I know that I am only uniform and whatever, eight back, but it feels good not to beat here. So, that was good.”
Homa, 34, fought during the first round, shooting a 74.
Despite the ghost in the first hole, Homa fashed and the rest of the road was not observed, ending with a 2 70s. It is even on par during the first two days in Augusta National.

It was not always beautiful for Homa. He hit only 8 of 14 (57%) streets and had to do a lot to save the pair.
Homa has played with the weekend this season of PGA Tour, but the two events in which he did it, Sentry and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, had no cuts. Homa did not reach the weekend in any tournament with a cutting line.

This is the sixth beginning of Homa in the Masters and, after a first 67th round last year, ended in a tie for third place. Homa will seek to take advantage of his positive impulse from making the cut in another Top 10 end this year.
Homa joined the PGA Tour in 2014 and has six victories in his tour career. His last victory was the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open.
