Islamabad:
The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a special traffic plan to administer the arrival and exit of the Cricket teams of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), ensuring a soft traffic flow and strict security on the main roads of the city.
An ITP spokesman said that improved security arrangements are in force along the key routes, including the highway, Club Road, 9th Avenue and Srinagar Highway.
Temporary traffic deviations will be implemented today from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm and again from 12.30 am to 1.30 am to accommodate equipment movements. Motorists are advised to anticipate traffic delays during these hours and plan their trip accordingly.
Drivers are encouraged to use service paths linked to the highway and the Srinagar road to avoid congested areas. For those who go to the blue area, F-6 and sectors F-7, the H-8 underground step is recommended.
Traffic to and from the Red Zone and the Serena Hotel must use Margalla Road, Jinnah Avenue, Ayub Chowk and Nadra Chowk, while travelers to IMAM de Bari are also advised to use Nadra Chowk. Travelers traveling to sectors I and H must take the Rawalpindi-Peshawar and IJP Road road through adjacent service paths. In addition, the entry of heavy vehicles in Islamabad will be restricted during equipment movements.
