Pakistan’s problematic shooter for Afghanistan on Monday informed a panel of the Senate that was expected that the relationship with Afghanistan would improve as high -level visits were planned to relieve tensions.

The special envoy of the Afghanistan ambassador, Muhammad, Sadie was invited by the Permanent Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs to inform its members about the state of the relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Sadiq traveled to Kabul last month as part of the efforts to restart the problematic relationship and find a solution to the long -standing issue of terrorist sanctuaries on Afghan soil.

The session of the Upper House, chaired by Senator Irfan Siddiqui, was held behind closed doors.

“I just informed the permanent committee of the Senate on foreign matters in a session in the Chamber about the situation in Afghanistan and the challenges facing our bilateral relations.

A sincere and constructive discussion about regional developments and the way ahead for the relations of Pakistan-Fanganistan was a great learning experience, “Sadiq said in a statement published in X after the meeting.

Meanwhile, the president of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, Irfan Siddiqui, told journalists that there were expectations for improvement in the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

He said Sadiq Khan informed the Permanent Committee of the Senate that high -level visits were planning in the near future.

Irfan said that visits will help to relive the bilateral conversations process. He said that Ambassador Sadiq shared with the committee that the issue of the prohibition of Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was being approached strongly with the Afghan authorities.

The committee also decided to call another meeting on the issue of Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, at a meeting with the Charge d’Affires Ubaid-Ur-Rehman Nizamani of Pakistan, expressed his regret for the “forced deportation of Afghan refugees and the treatment inappropriate by certain trimesters.”

He described the current abuse as provocative and detrimental to relations between the two countries, and requested the end of such actions, in accordance with the declaration issued by the Afghan Foreign Ministry.

According to the spokesman of the AFGANA Foreign Ministry, Hafiz Zia Ahmad, the Pakistani diplomat said he understands the concerns of the Islamic Emirate and will share the matter with the relevant authorities.

The statement also mentioned that comprehensive discussions were maintained on political and economic matters between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Both parties emphasized the need for effective mutual measures and the exchange of high -level delegations.

Pakistan began deporting undocumented Afghans in October 2023. However, in the second phase, the authorities are now repatriating those who have Afghan citizen cards. Islamabad has defended the movement, stating that it cannot accommodate them indefinitely.
