Lieutenant General Nigar Johaha appointed RCCI ambassador for women’s empowerment

Lieutenant Gen (Retd) Nigar Johaha Khan has been appointed brand ambassador for the empowerment of women and initiatives related by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).

The announcement occurred during an event entitled Sheads, a tribute to women, held in the RCCI Chamber Chamber on Monday. Nigar Johar, the first and only woman in Pakistan to reach the range of three -star general, served as the main guest.

Speaking at the ceremony, the president of RCCI, Usman, Shaukat, praised Johaha’s career as one defined by the courage and the achievements of the barrier. “She stands like a lighthouse of hope and aspiration,” said Usman Shaukat.

The leader of the Sohail Altaf group reaffirmed the support of RCCI for inclusive development, calling events like her leads a way of recognizing the role of women in national progress.

In his opening speech, Nigar Johar praised RCCI’s proactive position on the inclusion of women. “Creating spaces for women to lead, grow and shape the future is essential,” he said.

He also expressed his support for the RCCI planned solidarity walk for Palestine, which will be carried out with the participation of the Palestinian ambassador.

Born in Swabi, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Nigar Johar joined the Army Medical College in 1981 and graduated in 1985. He later became commander colonel of the Army Medical Body, making history as the highest rank officer of the Pakistan army.
