- Windows 11 24h2 could not be installed by users of some paper customization applications

Microsoft has finally raised a compatibility block that prevents some Windows 11 users from being updated to the latest version of the operating system because they had certain third -party screen background applications installed.
These are applications that allow you to install personalized uphow paper on your Windows 11 machine, and the applications in question do not work well with Windows 11 24h2, failing in several ways. That included causing errors, failures with the wallpapers themselves, disappearing desktop icons or even problems with virtual desks.
Windows Central noticed that Microsoft has now marked these problems as solved in an update of Windows Health Status 11. Then, those with these applications of Tapiz paper are fine to move forward and install the 24H2 update.
Well, in theory anyway, although there are some warnings here, which I will appear below.
You can remember that this compatibility block was established just when 24h2 came out for the first time, at the end of September last year, so it has taken a long time to soften these problems, and there is also a reason for that.
Analysis: Mild complications
As noted, there are some captures here, as Microsoft tells us in its Health launch Dashboard update.
To begin with, the compatibility block is only gradually eliminated, so it is possible that you are waiting for a little more time, depending on the configuration of your PC and the exact application you have installed.
Microsoft explains: “Keep in mind that several applications of Tapiz paper are currently included in this compatibility retention. For this reason, the specific moment of the resolution of this problem in a given device can depend on the application that is used and the time of the update of that application. As its respective applications be launched for these applications, these problems are expected to be solved.”
Hence the long wait for the resolution of this matter, since it seems that Microsoft was not playing with Windows 11 24h2 for these applications to work, or at least not do much along the way. Rather, he was apparently waiting for individual application developers to do their software well with 24h2.
Microsoft also points out that when you turn on the Windows 11 24h2 installation process, you can see a message that indicates that you uninstall a tapestry application. You are advised to do this, and simply turn the application of tapestry paper for now, or try to update the application, as said notice could have appeared because it is executing an earlier version of the program.

Windows 11 24h2 has a problem history with third -party customization software that dates back long before the launch, deep in its test phase when some popular utilities were prohibited (for disgust of some Windows insiders). Because 24h2 is based on a completely new underlying platform, Germanio, this has caused many more problems than any other update for Windows 11 so far.
And although it could be expected that such a big change is a headache, and activate more errors than normal, the amount we have witnessed has been essentially a minor avalanche and a clearly unpleasant experience for some Windows 11 users.
