Bryce Harper of the Phillies carries out gender revelation with personalized bat

Pink and blue bats are usually reserved for Mother and Father’s Day in the elder leagues, but on Monday it marked an exception.

The gardener of the Philadelphia Philis, Bryce Harper, waits for his fourth son at the end of this year, and wanted to take gender revelation to the field.

Then, he ordered two bats, one pink and one blue, and asked his teammate, the Trea Turner campocorto, to violate the great news.

“He asked me today to help him with gender revelation. He was confused, at first, but I think he wanted to share that moment with us, and I think it was quite great,” Turner said after the game.

But Turner was not going to have this opportunity and facilitates Harper.

“I got a little with him in the shelter. I picked up the pink, I turned it a bit,” Turner said. “He thought I was having a girl.”

But Harper reached the plate with a blue bat.

“I was quite happy.”

“It was kind enough to ask me to do it, and I thought it was a good time for him and his family. A lot of great, quite special,” Turner added.

Turner and Harper had also been teammates in Washington, DC, with the nationals before Harper went to Philadelphia. Turner signed with the NATs in an 11 -year contract and $ 300 million before the 2023 season after a short period with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Harper ended up hitting the bat, and the Philis lost, 10-4, before the giants of San Francisco to Red Vivo, so it was not all fun at Citizens Bank Park on Monday.

But, without a doubt, it was a day when Harper will not forget soon.
