Chrissy Teigen is opening on the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes of his eldest son.
The model, which Children, Luna, 9 years old, and Miles brothers, 6, Esti, 2, and Wren, 22 months with singer John Legend, tells people the difficulties around the condition.
“It really knocked faster miles than many of the other children,” he recalls. “His pain was incredible, and he is a pretty hard child.”
“We were thrown into this world of chaos and having to learn so much at the same time,” he says
“Everything was paused. We found ourselves and leaving the hospitals, sitting with our notebooks taking abundant notes and taking videos of everything someone was doing with the insulin bottle,” says Teigen.
Chrissy then cited his son, adding: “Why me? How isn’t Luna?” She remembers. “I was really worried to affect if I could practice sports. Can I have sweets yet? Can I have ice cream? All those things that only a child would worry.”
“You try everything: chips, bribes, iPad time. You do everything you can to see what makes it comfortable,” she says, growing emotional. “The first three months were very, very difficult for us as a family because your child is experiencing pain,” recalls the model.
