- Surfshark bypasser is now available in its macOS VPN application
- The functionality allows users to select applications and websites to redirect outside the VPN connection
- Surfshark is now among a few selected suppliers that offer this function in Mac
Surfshark has extended support for its derivation function in the VPN macos application.
Surfshark bypasser is a useful functionality that allows you to choose specific websites and applications to redirect outside the VPN connection.
Already available in Windows, Android, iOS and browser extension, Surfshark has become one of the few best VPN services to offer this function for Mac users.
Why use surfshark bypasser?
Aimed at promulgating the control and convenience of users in a couple of clicks, surfshark bypasser is the taking of the divided tunnel company. “A feature that gives users control about what applications or websites use the VPN and which ones are connected directly to the Internet,” Surfshark Senior Product Manager said, fair Pukys.
Every time it connects to its virtual private network (VPN) tool, its Internet connection is redirected through VPN servers through its encryption protocol. However, although this is beneficial to increase privacy and safety, it can cause friction with the way in which certain websites and applications operate.
This means that users can have to turn off the VPN when accessing their online banking or local government site, losing protection in all their other activities. Surfshark bypasser allows you to divide Internet traffic on two routes: one to pass through the encrypted VPN connection and the other directly to the Internet through its real IP address.
As Pukys explains, the use of ByPasser is especially beneficial to access local services or content that can block VPN while maintaining protection for other activities.
“With the recent incorporation of macOS support, Surfshark has expanded its service package to offer this functionality on all the main platforms,” said Pukys.
Surfshark Bypasser has been available for some time in Windows, Android, iOS and browser extensions. Mac users have had to wait to benefit from this functionality when Apple eliminated the support for the function in 2021.
In February 2024, private Internet access (PIA) was the first supplier to bring back the tunnel divided into its VPN macos application. The best selections from other PakGazette, namely Nordvpn, Expressvpn and Protonvpn, are among the services that still lack support for this function in their Mac VPN at the time of writing.
