Peshawar:
Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) MAULANA Fazlur Rehman said Wednesday that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Mining and Mineral Draft (KP) was unacceptable by violating provincial autonomy.
Going to a press conference in Peshawar, Fazl said that the situation of the law and order was bad in Baluchistan and KP, where Jui-F’s leaders and supporters were being attacked. He also opposed the forced repatriation of Afghan refugees.
Fazl described the mines and minerals of KP an attack on provincial autonomy. “The Federation wants to confiscate the resources of the province,” he said. “If the government wants to do mineral business, we are not against, but autonomy, resources and the rights of the provinces should not be affected,” he added.
“We are not in favor of the bill because it is equivalent to stealing the province of its resources,” Fazl told reporters, add that the government should rethink this issue. “The government does not reach their senses, we would go to the people.”
The Jui-F chief emphasized that there should be no violation of the 18th constitutional amendment. He warned that mines and mineral invoices could lead to foreign intervention. “We will not accept any change in the amendment 18”.
Fazl said that the decision of the fusion of the old tribal areas administered by the Federal Government (Fata) with KP should not have rushed. “Now it is not known what is the current state of tribal areas, if they are merged or have a separate state,” he said.
Speaking about the repatriation of Afghan refugees, Fazl said that this problem was raised in 2017 when refugees were asked to return from here and at that time, he suggested that refugees should be divided into categories.
Preparing, he said that the first category would be those who had acquired professional skills and Pakistan could benefit from them; The second category was composed of entrepreneurs and investors and the third category of students and common people.
He proposed that the two countries should adopt a joint mechanism for their return. “The way in which refugees are returned is a violation of humanitarian rights and international organizations must have in Cuestalo. However, if refugees return voluntarily, there should be no objection.”
Fazl announced that a meeting of the Central Jui-F Council had been convened on April 19 and 20. He also announced that the party would contact other parts in the bill of mines and minerals. He also announced plans for a million marching to mine-e-pakistan on April 27 and in Peshawar on May 11.
