NFL News: The GM of the Giants says that the team will not ‘force’ a field marshal in the NFL draft

New York giants are looking for a franchise field marshal, but that solution may not arrive in the NFL 2025 draft.

The giants signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this low season, but neither received a long -term contract. Wilson signed for one year and Winston for two.

The general manager of the giants, Joe Schoen, said that with Wilson and Winston, the team is not going to “force” a quartback selection with the general selection No. 3 in the NFL draft next week.

“With the signing of these two players, I think we get in a position where I don’t think it is mandatory or something that we have our feet in the fire and that we have to do,” Schoen told reporters on Wednesday about the selection of a quarterback in the draft.

“The two boys we signed have played a lot of ball, they have many skins on the wall and I think we have improved that room compared to where I was a year ago. Tommy (Devito) is still there and he has also won games for us and is still developing. We are happy with the makeup of the room at this time.”

Tennessee’s Titans seem in love with the Miami Marshal, Cam Ward, and the expectation is that the Titans will select Ward with the general selection number 1.

If the Titans really make Ward, the Cleveland Browns, they will have an option among the winner of Travis Hunter of Heisman, Travis Hunter, the star of Penn State, Abdul Carter and the Marshal of Campo de Colorado, Shedeur Sanders.

If the Browns do not select Sanders, and he remains on the board for the giants, Schoen said that the value has to coincide so that the giants take to the Mariscal de Campo de Colorado.

“If the value coincides with what we have in a player, there is the opportunity to take any position. I will not force it if it is not the right value. If the board aligns and we are on the clock and that is the position we want to go with, we will go,” said Schoen.

The giants have done extensive work in a lot of field marshal, since they are ready to receive Sanders, Jalen Milroe from Alabama and Tyler Shough of Louisville for private training, according to Fox Sports.

If they choose not to take Sanders with the general selection No. 3, the giants could still select a quarterback with one of their half -round teams, especially with the general selection No. 34 at the top of the second round.
