“None of those was the jets, because that was not a great conversation.”

Rodgers He later expanded in his comments, detailing the final “confusing” and “strange” conversation he shared with Glenn. According to Rodgers, he had flown to the installation of the jets in advance that he would have a long conversation with the team’s leadership about his future.

Instead, what he obtained was a brief talk about Glenn’s desire to move in a different direction.

“That were two interesting years to say the least, but I thought that when I flew all over the country in my own penny, that there was going to be a conversation. And it confused for me, and the strange thing, it was when I went out with the coach … we started talking, he leaves the room.”

Rodgers said Glenn returned with the new general manager of the team, Darren Mougey, but the conversation took a quick turn.

“We sat in the office and I think we are going to have this long conversation, I have flown throughout the country, and 20 seconds in it, I mean, literally, I am talking to the GM about something, and he leans until the end of his seat and goes ‘then, do you want to play football?'”

Rodgers replied that he did it, but was quickly received by Glenn’s news.

“We go in a different direction in quarterback.”

“I wasn’t upset about that, I was surprised,” Rodgers added. “I felt that there was not a lot of respect in that meeting. I think I shouldn’t have surprised me based on some of the things I saw during the two years.”

Perhaps the most shocking revelation was Glenn’s explanation, according to Rodgers.

“I don’t want to be in front of the room saying something and the boys look at you,” Rodgers said, said Glenn. He called the “a little rogue” exchange, by Glenn, but admitted that he was still grateful for his two years in the organization.

Rodgers has been linked to several teams in the low season, but said Thursday that retirement is still on the table.
