The Senate Subcommittee on Human Rights on Thursday approved a bill to establish a commission for the rights of online minorities with the United Nations regulations and international regulations.
The meeting was chaired by Senator Ali Zafar. The proposed commission will have the task of evaluating and monitoring the implementation of constitutional guarantees and safeguards for the promotion and protection of minority rights.
It will also review existing or proposed policies or programs aimed at preventing discrimination and protection of minority communities, while providing relevant recommendations to interested departments.
