A consensus was reached in a seminar organized by Express Media Group that awareness about insurance is very low in society. There is an urgent need for an awareness campaign on the insurance sector, which is very important and indispensable for the country’s economic development.
One cannot do anything without insurance worldwide, but in Pakistan, the importance and usefulness of insurance is not even discussed, although in the current era of inflation, insurance can significantly reduce financial loss. By strengthening an institution such as the people of insurance to protect consumer rights, the public can gain confidence in the insurance system.
The governor of Punjab, Sardar Salem Haider, Khan, the main guest on the occasion, said that there is an urgent need to strengthen institutions such as the Ombudsman for the improvement of society and justice.
The Seminar on ‘Importance of Banking Insurance and the role of the Ombudsman of Insurance’ was organized by Express Media Group in collaboration with TPL Insurance in Lahore.
The governor, the Federal Ombudsman of Insurance Mumtaz Ali Shah, the executive director of TPL INSURANCE MUHAMMAD AMINUD DIN and the federal defender’s office DG MUBBSHIR NAEEM SIDDIQUI boarded the seminar.
Governor Sardar Salem Haider said that the defender of the federal people of Insurance Mumtaz Ali Shah has an excellent bureaucratic training and has provided very important services in Sindh.
The Federal Insurance Ombudsman said that insurance does not have the importance it should have in the country’s economy. In developed countries, insurance is considered very important and no work is done without it.
