Senator Faisal Vawda said Thursday that he had already predicted the fragmentation of the Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) in multiple factions.

In an interview with a private television channel, he said that the PTI was becoming a “Pti-Pakistan”, like the MQM Pakistan, and added that fate would decide who would govern the party.

“The Army Chief has demonstrated how Pakistan returns to normal. After which, the government and political parties have gained confidence,” Vawda said. “We have a qualified army chief and is doing a good job,” he said.

“Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is standing along the Army Chief. The senator added that Shehbaz was not doing what his brother and Imran Khan.

He said that the government and his ally doubted about talking about the PTI six months ago, but now they called him a “Fitna party.”

Vawda said that Imran Khan received nothing in two and a half years, while N-League obtained power. “The Army is not interested in an agreement, since it is focusing on the security and economy of the country.”

Vawda said that Imran seemed to be in a big problem since his group did not want him out of jail. “PTI leaders simply enjoy slogans and trying to be popular in public.”
