The Federal Minister of Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, said that the Government has made the best possible arrangements for the Pilgrims of the Hajj this year, Express News reported Friday.
Speaking to journalists during a visit to the Haji camp in Karachi, Yousuf said he was there to inspect the training sessions for pilgrims. He added that the Ministry personnel were in the site for briefly pilgrims and make sure they were well prepared for the trip.
According to the minister, 89,000 pilgrims will make Hajj this year under the government’s scheme. He assured that all the preparations had been completed, with a special approach in providing maximum facilities and avoiding any inconvenience.
“The prime minister has ordered me to ensure that pilgrims do not face difficulties,” he said, adding that the last experience between 2013 and 2018 had helped improve this year’s plan.
Yousuf declared that 21,600 pilgrims would depart from Karachi, with arrangements in Makkah and Aziziyah, including good quality accommodation and divided air conditioning. He said that additional facilities such as shelves and improved transport had also been included in the new agreements.
Each group of pilgrims would have a designated supervisor to solve any problem on the site, confirmed the minister.
Previously, the Saudi authorities had announced plans to establish rest areas for pilgrims in several points of mine, Arafat and Muzdalifah during the annual pilgrimage of Hajj.
The decision was shared during an informative session to Prince Saud Bin Mishaal, the Vice Governor of Makkah, with respect to the preparations for the next Hajj season.
The authorities said that 50,000 square meters of shaded pedestrians in mine are being built, while 60,000 square meters of shelters and nebulization fans are installed around Al-Rahmah wild boar in Arafat.
