The rain and hail storms in various areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have resulted in sudden floods in currents and rivers, damage and vehicles.

At least eight people were injured due to lightning in Charsadda on Friday. The Provincial Disaster Authority (PDMA) of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has issued an flood alert for the Kabul River and its tributaries.

PDMA has also canceled the weekend leaves on Saturdays and Sundays of interested officers in case of emergency.

Heavy rains and hail storms are expected in the next 24 hours in mountainous and central districts of the province.
