Canceled bail for 16 PTI figures, including Sanam Javed, Mishal Yousafzai

An anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi has canceled the interim bond of 16 leaders and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), including Raja Basharat, Sanam Javed, Mishal Yousafzai and Nadia Khattak, about cases related to the protest of November 26. The journalist Sami Ibrahim is also among which the bond has been the bond.

The hearing on bail requests was made by Judge Amjad Ali Shah of the Anti -Terror Court.

During the hearing, prosecutor Zaheer Shah told the Court that the defendant had been using the tribunal indulgence during the last four months by not appearing repeatedly before the court.

He argued that the defendant was deliberately obstructing the investigation process and had taken advantage of his provisional bond.

The prosecutor also presented references to the decisions of the Supreme Court to support his argument, after which the Court canceled the bond of the 16 leaders and PTI workers due to breach.

Those What Bail was cancelled include former provincial minister Raja Basharat, Sanam Javed, Mishal Yousafzai, Simabiya Tahir, Taimoor Masood, Fahad Masood, Saad Ali Khan, Raja Nasir Mahfooz, Javed Kausar, Shahbaz Ahmed, Nadia Khattak, Umar Tanve Tanveer Butt, Babar Lodhi, Nisar Khan, Abdul Waheed and journalist Sami Ibrahim.

The defendants face multiple cases registered in several police stations in Rawalpindi and Attock in relation to the protest of November 26.
